Add a shield of protection to your nails with our brush-on builder. This can help grow  out your natural nails, be used for extensions, and works great to adhere soft gel tips too.

Clear and thick (almost honey-like), it self-levels very slowly and gives you more time to work on your nail beds.

It can be used with a base and top coat for a clear look, or it can be topped with Cushion Colour or Gel Colour too!

Can be filed into shape if needed, just remember to wipe away the inhibition (sticky layer) with alcohol first to not ruin your files. 

Soaks-off in 10-15 mins with normal method.

Application

  • Prep your nail plate as normal (remove/push back cuticles, wipe with alcohol, gently etch with 180 grit, wipe again with alcohol)
  • Use Nail Prep Dehydrator and air dry 15 seconds
  • Use a thin layer of Clear Cushion Base or Cushion Colour Base of choice, and cure for 60 seconds in LED lamp.
  • Now brush on your Shield Builder. Tip: start with a thin layer (called slip layer), do not cure, and now follow with more product to build up the thickness or apex you want.
  • Flip your finger downwards and/or upside down a few seconds, check the shape, then flash cure 10 seconds to stop product from moving while you proceed to the next finger
  • Recommended: Use a small liner brush to work into sidewalls and adjust the shape. 
  • Do a final full hand cure for 60-120 seconds depending on thickness. Tip: You cannot over-cure, so when in doubt, go with 120 seconds.
  • Remember, the thicker the application, the hotter the cure can get! Use low-heat mode to avoid this.
  • Follow with regular gel colour or top coat.

Important Tips

  • Shake well before opening. Apply with a bit of pressure to avoid air bubbles.
  • If the product becomes too thick (in colder months), pop it between your legs for 15 or so minutes to make it flow better again.
  • Important: Wipe away any excess gel from around the neck of the bottle with an alcohol wipe before closing tightly. You can also gently wipe off excess gel from the brush.
  • If you used a liner brush, be sure to wipe it with a bit of alcohol before re-capping. Otherwise the product can harden too much within the bristles and ruin the brush.
  • Keep out of reach of children, and away from open windows/sunlight. Gently shake unnopened bottle before each use. 
  • Use within 12 months of opening.
